Everything you always wanted to know about Fair Folks
The Hancock County Fair is organized and run by a board consisting of many people from the county and the Augusta, IL, areas.
This board plans for the fair year-round. However, when summer rolls around, there are MANY more people than this working to have a great fair. Many hundreds of man-hours go into fair preparation, from the PR work to the grounds maintenance, from the event planning to the budget working. This is a great group of people, and the ones that have done this for many years have it down to a science. The rest of us just try to keep up! :-)
Board Meetings
The board usually meets on the third Tuesday of each month, at 7:00 or 8:00 PM at the Buss Stop or the fairgrounds in Augusta. As fair week approaches, these meetings are more frequent. The exact times are set at each board meeting, so if you need to attend, please contact a board member for details. Thanks!
