- A $10.00 entry fee will be charged for each car.
- Drivers must be at least 16 years old. Drivers under the age of 18 must have a parent’s signature.
- No one allowed in race area under influence of liquor. Possession of alcoholic beverages anywhere on grounds will result in loss of pit pass and disqualification. No coolers allowed. Beer only in beer tent.
- There will be four heat races and a consolation heat.
- Any passenger car or station wagon, foreign or domestic is allowed. No convertibles, trucks, jeeps, hearses, limousines or Imperials allowed.
- *** All cars must have a number painted on both front doors. The car number must also be displayed vertically on a white or black sign, on the roof of the car. The sign must be a minimum of 12” square and readable by the judges from both sides. ***
- All glass, including windshield, headlights and taillights must be removed before reaching track.
- Rear seat on sedan must be removed, top and bottom; on station wagons, the back seats must be open for inspection.
- All cars must have approved seat belts.
- Radiators, transmission coolers must be in stock position or removed. No extra tanks or coolers.
- One automobile type battery allowed which must be securely fastened to floorboard of car and covered. NO battery packs allowed in the cars.
- Doors may be welded solid but no welding will be allowed anywhere 6” behind the rear door weld.
- Fenders and bumper ends may be trimmed to allow for wheel clearance only. No special bumpers, reinforcements, fabrications or trailer hitches allowed. Any iron other than original equipment must be removed. Cars must have a front and rear bumper, and bumpers must be in the stock/upright position.
- *** ONLY AUTOMOTIVE TIRES ALLOWED!! No tires larger than 15 inches. Any tires not clearly marked are illegal. WE ARE TOUGH ON TIRE RULES!! BE LEGAL!! No studs or screws in rims. USE LOAD RANGE B OR C. NO tires heavier than 6 ply rating. 15 LT TIRES ACCEPTABLE. ***
- All hoods, trunks and tail gates must open for inspection by officials. The hood and trunk lid may be tied down with either wire or bolts. Maximum of six 3/8" bolts per hood and lid. Two pieces of 5/8" maximum ALL THREAD may be used instead of the 6 bolts. All thread cannot be through frame.
- Engine and transmission switching is allowed but must be mounted in stock location. On V block, motor’s front spark plug must be even or in front of upper ball joint. Welded solid or chained down engine mounts are recommended.
- No chain around body frames. Coil springs may be chained down.
- Driver’s door may be reinforced. No other reinforcements allowed.
- Gas tanks must be removed. Use of a boat tank is highly recommended and it must be securely fastened down in the floorboard of the back seat. All tanks must have a tight fitting cap and have a covering of a fireproof or non-flammable material. The fire shield should be fastened to keep gas from spilling on the driver should the tank rupture. 3 gallon gas maximum. NO Methanol Alcohol / Fuel will be checked.
- *** If you are running an electric fuel pump, it must be hooked up to your ignition switch. So, when your car shuts off, the fuel pump switch shuts off. ***
- Suspension must remain strictly stock.
- Any factory made car rear ends are permitted, including posi-tacks and limited slip differentials. No floater or truck rear ends. Welded rear ends are allowed and highly recommended.
- Cars must have dependable and sufficient brakes at all times.
- Every driver must wear a safety belt and an approved helmet equipped with a face shield or goggles. Sunglasses are not considered sufficient eye protection. Drivers must also wear a long sleeve shirt.
- All hoods must remain in the stock position and have two 6” holes cut in them in case of fire.
- No floater hubs and no trailer hitches.
- Drivers may enter more than one heat, but must have different car for each heat.
- Drivers may change cars for the feature event, providing the car changed to has run in a prior heat at this derby.
- All cars should be signed in one hour before race time and driver’s meeting will be at 5:30 PM sharp.
- Come ready, come right, or stay at home.
- All decisions shall be made by the Judges and the decisions of the Judges are final.

- A $10.00 entry fee will be charged for each car.
- Wheel base is 106 inches or less with a 4 or 6 cylinder. Please measure before you build. No Lumina’s, etc, AMC Hornets or Hornet Wagons must measure 106” or less and be a factory build of 106” wheel base or less. Must be FWD or RWD, no AWD.
- Doors, trunk lids and hatch lids may be welded solid inside and outside. Body seams can be welded 5” then skip 5”. No added metal on body seams. Except on door seams, trunk lids and hatch lids, you can use up to 4” wide and no thicker than 1/8” flat strap of 3/8” or smaller filler rod.
- No Welding on the frame. Do not weld the body to the frame .
- If you don’t weld your doors, trunk, or tailgate, you can chain them with 3/8 chain or less and you are allowed 2 chains per seam.
- For driver’s protection, you may weld a bar behind the seat from doorpost to doorpost. It can be an X. You may also have a bar across your dash and you may connect your dash bar to the bars behind the seat across the inside of the front door only. No kickers or braces can be welded or bolted from the cage to the floor or frame, only the roll loop can be welded to the frame. You may also weld your steering column in, you can weld a plate across the driver’s door not to exceed 6 inches past each seam. You may have a roll loop behind the seat, which can be welded to the frame. No kickers going to the back or front of the car. Back of cage, including roll bar, can only be 10” from stock position of driver’s seat.
- Bumper’s are interchangeable from small car to small car. No homemade bumpers or brackets. You can weld bumper brackets or towers to the frame. You can weld bumper brackets and shocks to the bumper. You can weld shocks to shock towers. You can collapse shocks and you can bolt the shocks to the towers with ½ inch bolt or less and it must be done vertically. You may trim bumper ends or fold them around. You may weld the bumper seams. When welding bumpers, shocks and brackets, do not add any metal.
- Every driver must wear a safety belt and an approved helmet equipped with a face shield or goggles. Sunglasses are not considered sufficient eye protection. Drivers must also wear a long sleeve shirt.
- Hood must have at least two, 12 inch square holes cut out in case of fire. You will be allowed 8 hood bolts and you must have at least 4 hood bolts. Hood must be open for inspection. Hood bolts must be sheet metal to sheet metal. Plates for hood bolts cannot exceed 5”X5”X1/2”. Hood bolts can be up to 1 inch in diameter.
- Wire can go from hood or radiator support to bumper in two spots (4 loops max). Can have two wires in two spots (4 loops max) in each window opening and can go to the frame.
- Suspension must be stock height. No adding pipe for shocks and you must have passenger type shocks. Do not weld shocks solid. No leaf spring conversions. Leaf springs must be stock. Leaf springs must stagger down in stock spring length from longest to smallest. You can reclamp springs, 4 clamps per side, homemade or factory. Homemade clamps can’t exceed 2”X4”X1/4”. You can bolt or wire coil springs to rear end frame to prevent springs from falling out. You can loop chain or wire from rear end to frame in 2 spots on each side. No bigger than #9 wire or 3/8” chain or cable may be used.
- You can run shifter through floor. If you are running an electric fuel pump, it must be hooked up to your ignition switch. So, when your car shuts off, the fuel pump switch shuts off.
- You may alter your steering column to prevent loss of steering.
- You may cut wheel wells for tire clearance. Fenders may be bolted back together with 5, 3/8” bolts or less. The rear quarter panel is considered part of the rear fender.
- Have 1 bar in windshield from roof to dash for safety reasons.
- Have gas tank securely mounted. It must be covered by a rubber cover and no carpet or flammable material. No plastic tanks or plastic valves on tanks.
- No more than 3 gallons of fuel will be allowed.
- No homemade body seams from rear humps forward.
- No sedagons, no tucking of wagon roof, may pre bend.
- You have one minute to make contact with another car.
- All cars should be signed in one hour before race time and driver’s meeting will be at 5:00 PM sharp.
