General Rules For Domestic Arts Departments:

  1. All exhibits in all departments must be entered between 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, in the Domestic Arts building.
  2. Judging will begin at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 21. No one will be admitt3ed except for superintendent and judges.
  3. Exhibits are open to the world.
  4. Entry tags will be furnished for all entries and must be filled out by the exhibitors. No entry will be judged without the proper tag.
  5. An ENTRY FEE of 50¢ will be charged for each entry, except in department N which will be 25¢ per entry. All entry fees are payable at time of entry and are non-refundable.
  6. Each exhibitor is required to purchase a $10 Exhibitor’s Pass, except children 9 years of age and younger.
  7. An exhibitor is limited to one entry per class.
  8. An exhibit which has won first prize at Hancock County Fair within the last three years is ineligible to be entered this year.
  9. No article may be entered if there is no class listed for it in the premium list.
  10. After exhibits are placed, no one will be permitted in the department area.
  11. Every precaution will be taken to insure the safety of the exhibits, but in no case will the Fair Association be responsible for the loss of or damage to the exhibits.
  12. Exhibits will be released to exhibitors from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 25.
  13. Read the specific rules applying to each department.
  14. The building will close Wednesday, July 21, Thursday, July 22, and Saturday, July 24 at 9:00 p.m. The building will close at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 23.

The superintendent has the right to disqualify any entry which is not in compliance with these rules.
