There are Millions of Ways to be Entertained at the Fair!

Below are some types of fun. For detailed schedule information, check the Calendar page.

Music

This year, like last year, there is no "Main Concert" in the Grandstand area. There are so many other events being brought to you, that the music is being kept in the Outdoor Community Building, where you can ALWAYS find a good time! Come to the Fair on Thursday, Friday, and/or Saturday evenings, and you can hear and dance to great music in the pavilion. Sorry, must be 21 to enter...

Livestock Shows

We have so much livestock to watch, we had to set up our own Livestock Page!

Carnival Rides

This year features another great selection of rides by Archway Amusements. Remember the great selection last year? It'll be even bigger, even better, in 2004!

Pageants

One of the most popular attractions to any County Fair is the Queen Contest, and ours is no different. We'll pack the pavilion with excitement on Wednesday night, not only to see who the 2005 Hancock County Fair Queen will be, but also to watch all the little girls in the Little Miss Contest. Come early to get a good seat, you'll be glad you did!

Food

There's more food at our County fair than you can imagine. Cotton candy, hot dogs, pork steaks, ribeyes, and many, MANY specialty foods. Getting a little warm in the summer sun? Cool off with sno-cones. Full dinners are available, too. You just have to walk around and try a little of everything. YUM!

Pavilion Entertainment

As the sun disappears, the fun starts for our older patrons in the pavilion. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights will offer live bands, and plenty of refreshment from the "wagon". There is a small admission to get in, but you'll love the party! Sorry, but you must be 21 to enter this area during the evening entertainment.

Domestic Arts

Visit our domestic arts building to get a real appreciation for the hard work that goes into food, arts, crafts, and other types of projects. There's a wide selection for you. Judging runs through the earlier days of the fair, but most items are displayed for the duration, so you can browse at your convenience.

Grandstand Fun

We have one of those grandstands that others admire. Not a bad seat in the house, and what a show you'll see! We have lots going on (check the calendar!) leading up to Saturday, with the the Demolition Derby that night. NEVER A DULL MOMENT, so come on out and stake claim to your seat for the week!

New Horse Arena

2002 was the opening year for the brand new horse arena, and this year there's even MORE happening there. Located on the south end of the fairgrounds, there's plenty of room for the horse shows and contests. Come watch!
