Rules:
No alcohol in pits
Drivers and riders 18 and under must have parent's signature at time of sign-in
Rules are to be followed. If they are broken, your car will not run.
Any American sedan, station wagon or Lincoln can be run.
No 1973 or older Imperials
No Imperial stubs
No 4-wheel drive, hearse, truck, or limo
After 2 fires, you are disqualified
All glass, plastic, chrome and interior must be removed before inspection.
Tires: cannot be bigger than 15 inches, no studded tires or split rims
Tires: can be foam-filled, double, or have valve stem protectors
Radiator must be in stock position
Car must have working brakes
Trailer hitches and braces must be removed
Stock gas tank must be removed and replaced with a boat tank or other non-plastic fuel tank that is secured and covered with a non-flammable material behind the front seats
Electric fuel pump must be wired to ignition and shut-off must be within driver's reach
Transmission coolers are allowed but must be behind driver's seat and secured well
Engine and transmission does not have to be the same as car manufacturers
Battery must be removed from stock location and moved to front passenger's side floor **1 automotive battery only, No battery packs**
Door seams can be welded solid, if not welded must be chained or wired
Frame seams can be welded from A-arms forward
Cages are recommended but not required. Cage not to exceed 18 inches past front seat.
No kickers
Any automotive bumper can be interchanged, but no home-made bumpers
Bumpers need to be welded or chained to frame
Bumper shocks can be welded
Back bumper cannot have more than 2 straps
Front bumper can have up to 2 straps that are strapped from frame to bumper
Hood must have at least one 12 inch opening in case of fire
Hoods can be bolted where openings are cut only, with 3/8 inch bolts
Must have at least 4 bolts in the hood, but no more than 8. 1 inch all-thread max
Front 2 bolts only can go through radiator support and frame-All thread only
No more than 2 pieces of all-thread through the trunk but they may go through the frame
3 inch stitch weld on the trunk
Sedagons must have visual hole in roof
Body may be bolted to frame
80 and newer may leaf rear ends. Springs must have 2 inch stager
9 leaf allowed, leafs not to be more than 2.5 inches wide
Longest spring not to exceed 5 foot, back of spring must have shackle, must be OEM leaf springs
Coil springs can be welded, chained, or cabled
Rear-ends and housings may be reinforced. Gears may be welded
Motor mounts can be chained or welded, but must be in stock position
Wheel wells may be cut and bolted back together with no more than 12 bolts, 3/8 inch max bolts
Must have at least 1 strap in front windshield for safety
Frame can be repaired with 1/4 inch steel, but no more than 2 inches in front or behind rust spots or where it is bent on pre-ran cars. No more than 6 patches allowed, not to exceed 40 inches total
No frame stuffing--Will be inspected closely
Driver and rider must have helmet and safety glasses
Fire suits recommended
Long sleeves and pants are required for driver and rider. NO short sleeves or shorts
