Rules:

1. Please refer to the general rules for domestic arts.

2. All plants and cut flowers must have been grown by the exhibitor--amateurs only--with exception of class 503, Wildflowers.

3. Judging Criteria:  Condition of Entry--25%; Culture--25%; Stem--25%; Arrangement--25%.  Condition of entry means that the flowers are in the proper stage of maturity to show well, i.e. free of wilt.  Culture means that the flowers have a healthy appearance and are free from insect injury and disease.  Stem means that the stem should have good strength.

4. Cut flowers in bouquet should be cut with plenty of stem and leaves and brought in suitable container which has been arranged properly.  Bouquet must contain six or more stalks, except as noted.  Use of plastic flowers and leaves is prohibited.

5. Suggestions fro making arrangements: a) cut plants no earlier than the day before showing, preferable after sundown; b) cut stems at an angle with a sharp knife and place in water immediately; c) store in cool place; d) use a good holder well-anchored in the base, e.g. needle point holders are good all purpose holders.

Fees:

An entry fee of 50¢ will be charged for each entry.  All entry fees are payable at time of entry and are non-refundable.
