Vegetables

Rules:

  1. Please refer to the General rules for Domestic Arts.

  2. All exhibits must be grown by the exhibitor.

  3. Exhibitors are to furnish their own paper plates.  The plates must be sturdy enough to support the vegetables without bending.

  4. Judging will be on the following items:  Uniformity, appearance, quality, and color.  Green leaves must be left on cabbage.  Leave husks on corn and cut a two-inch square window in each ear of corn.  Do not cut tips off the corn.  Green peppers should be suitable for stuffing--the largest will not count.  Beets, carrots, and onions should have two-inch tops.

  5. The display of assorted garden produce should have a list of vegetables.

  6. The superintendent has the right to disqualify any entry which is not compliance with these rules.

Entry Fees:

An entry fee of 50¢ will be charged for each entry.  All entry fees are payable at time of entry and are non-refundable.

Premiums:

All Classes: 1st-$5.00, 2nd- $4.00, 3rd- $3.25

Exception "a":  1st-$10.00, 2nd- $7.50, 3rd-$5.00

Exception "b":  $5.00 & Ribbon
